How to Flash Brew

How to Flash Brew

ABOUT THIS GUIDE

Flash Brewing is a way to make iced coffee in which the coffee is brewed directly onto ice. This both cools and dilutes the coffee, allowing it to retain its flavor and strength. This means you get to enjoy a delicious and easy cup of iced coffee faster than ever before.

  • Hot water
  • Chemex® coffee maker
  • Chemex® coffee filter

STEP 2

Add Chemex® coffee filter and medium-fine ground coffee into your Chemex® coffee maker.

Use 3 Tbsp (40 g) of ground coffee for every 10 fl oz (300 ml) of water.

STEP 3

Pour hot water over the grounds.

Start from the middle then slowly work your way out. Pouring slowly while trying to wet all the grounds is key.

STEP 4

Let your coffee brew, then enjoy.

Once all the water makes its way through the grounds and melts the ice, your coffee is brewed.

QUICK TIP

Starbucks® Roast and Ground Coffees are already the perfect size grind for this brewing method, so if you already have a bag, no need to grind by hand!
